How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

It's not looking good for Russia in the South Caucasus either. Protests are growing in Georgia. Russian troops are out of Azerbaijan. Armenia is looking to the west. All this while Ukraine is being reequipped for the long haul. Happy inauguration day Vlad.
Wow, you really messed up the shit here.
1. There were no troops in Azerbaijan.
2. Armenia can do whatever they want, unlike you, we respect their sovereignty.
3. Same with Georgia. You are trying to overthrow their democratically elected government and so far you are failing.
It's not looking good for YOU. They are going to kick all american scam out of their country.
My western propaganda.
April 17 (Reuters) - Russian peacekeepers have begun withdrawing from Azerbaijan's Karabakh and other regions, ending a multi-year deployment which gave Moscow a military foothold in the strategic South Caucasus region.
The step, confirmed by the Kremlin and Azerbaijan on Wednesday, comes as Russia faces pressure in the wider region with neighbouring Armenia demanding Russian border guards leave its main airport and protesters in Georgia confronting what they say is a Russia-leaning government.
1. So they're withdrawing the peacekeepers that were never there? Sounds like a familiar Russian tune.
2. And what Armenia wants is for y'all to pack up and leave.
3. Looks like Georgians are doing all the work here. Are they waving American flags or something?

Putin needs those troops and equipment in the new independent republic of Ukrano-Russia.
For local security only.

You are not even wrong.

And you are almost never even right.

I am always right.
:LD:

Nine out of ten times we check out some story you are trying to spread it turns out to be bullshit.
I am right 10 out of 10 times.
You are always wrong.
let me give you an example:
Russian peacekeepers have begun withdrawing from Azerbaijan's Karabakh

There have never been any Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.

Khankendi.

Quick facts
Stepanakert or Khankendi is a ghost city in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. The city was under the control and the capital city of the breakaway Republic of Artsakh prior to the 2023 Azerbaijani offensive in the region.

"No to the Russian law" and "Yes to Europe".

It's amazing how the US managed to choreograph tens of thousands of people and make it all look like it was born out of fear of not becoming more like Russia.

Mass Protests Resume In Tbilisi Over 'Foreign Agent' Bill

Long story short, Putin fired his defense minister because things aren't going well in Ukraine.

The Kremlin said that Shoigu, 66, would be replaced by former First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, 65, a little-known politician who specializes in economic matters.

This should improve things.

An economist. This sounds like a warm body filling a seat and Putin’s gonna be calling the shots based on optimistic and inaccurate reports from the field.

Exactly my thought. These are the kind of chickens that always come home to roost.
Homing chickens, if you like.

Also, Business Insider has this piece that the appointment reflects Russia spending like a bunch of paranoid Soviets.
Putin's latest political move shows Russia's wartime economy is here to stay
Also, Shoigu was a civil engineer with no military background when he was appointed. I guess it's just more of the Putin Friends & Family plan. Loyalty is everything.

The first F-16s are expected to be in Ukraine within weeks
"We should be careful not to overestimate the impact of the limited number of F-16 fighters," Mertens said, adding that "the land front is vast, and there are a lot of Russians to kill."

But Crimea was "vulnerable," especially when it comes to attacks from F-16 fighters, he said.

"The Russians have relatively limited maneuver space on the peninsula, resupply is dependent on the Kerch bridge, and here, Putin has a lot to lose both politically and militarily," he said.

"If a limited number of fighters can have a real impact, it is here — and above the Black Sea that becomes fully accessible once the GBAD on the Crimea are dealt with."

From what I've read, it is more of a sign of the percentage of GDP going to the invasion effort. Putin is going old school upper management style... in its three week overtake of Ukraine going into its third year.
