The news I read said that young men in Russia are seeking to go flee to Kazakhstan and other places because they fear a general mobilization will be ordered after the September elections.

You are asking a wrong person.
I am not familiar with anyone who either left or thought about leaving, not now not in 2022.
But then I don't know any people in that demographic, that is young people who have ability to work abroad (IT people)
You should worry about ukrainians who are being kidnapped on the streets.

I occasionally lean towards this opinion. And then he accuses @TV and credit cards of being "Regime in Kiev who came up with the idea of 40 day of strikes on Russian Energy infrastructure", when @TV and credit cards has not, as far as I can tell, even visited Kyiv, much less been invited to advise Ukrainian military strategy; And I realise that barbos is simply incapable of making rational responses, at least on the topic of this war.

The most charitable explanation I can come up with is that it's a deliberate "Crazy Ivan" technique, intended to imply the threat of unreasoning agression at even the slightest hint of disagreement; This was a Soviet policy in the Cold War, and was an effort to give the nuclear deterrent some utility in influencing enemy governments, in an environment where first use of nukes is clearly an ansurd overreaction to anything short of a full scale invasion of NATO.

"Don't mess with us, we are a bunch of crazy Froot Loops" is not a completely stupid threat to make, particularly when you don't have the actual strength to make more reasoned and rational threats. But I eat Froot Loops for breakfast.

At this point, it's just embarrasing.
