Yes folks MLB is comi8ng.

Heard this in an sportscast.

Yes, MLB is actively discussing significant league restructuring, driven by planned expansion to 32 teams, which would involve eliminating the traditional American and National Leagues for a new, geographically-based format with eight four-team divisions to reduce travel and balance divisions. While not official yet, Commissioner Rob Manfred has championed this, potentially seeing it implemented around 2029-2030, creating major shifts like moving teams to different leagues and altering historic rivalries for better logistics.

MLB also has broadcasting issues. With the presumed death of whatever the heck Sinclair is calling their failed sports venture, game broadcasts might be getting a bit complicated.

Finally, baseball for real is underway!! The Dodgers are chasing a third World Series. Let’s Go Dodgers!!

The Angels will probably have another underwhelming season and not make the Playoffs.

Padres should do well again.

Giants and A’s l don’t care too much about. The A’s should be gone next season anyway.

On paper, the Dodgers are by far the best team in baseball. Hard to see a weakness. They even have the best farm system.

Colorado Rockies are going to surprise everyone and win 106 games.
Why not? I can’t even get their games any more so it’s all just hypothetical to me.
🤬🤬🤬

Who is ready for the Seattle Mariners! I know that Steve is!
I don't know.

I am not going to pay to watch any pro sports. If its on broadcast TV I'll watch it.

I watched the two games on opening day. MLB is going full tilt boogie into hype ad spectacle. Trtyng tom match NFL.

I never saw such a screw up as the Pirates. Dodgers will e hard to beat. Poise and confidence.

Marners have a long history of almost getting there.

Dodgers ave the highest payroll and are in in a huge sports market. Maybe like the old Yankee dynasty under George Steinbrenner, remember him? Billy Martin, Yogi Berra? And others around the league in the day.

The life has long gone out of baseball. Same with the NBA.

Whatever ever happened to bunting and the suicide squeeze play, stealing home?

They fell behind last night but roared back to win the game. Their weakness will be Dave Roberts and the statistics in the playoffs.

Colorado Rockies are 0-2 which is probably the high point of their season. They’re in third place in the NL west, ahead of two teams that are 0-3.
Yay Team!

Evidentially MLB will become AI generated Teams will be replaced by software engineers.

No stadiums, virtual reality and virtual crowds.

What I heard was that that only a pitcher, catcher, or batter can call for a challenge with the ABS automatic ball strike system. Each team gets two challenges.

So it is not onerous. Sometimes a bad call does affect the outcome of a game, but not very often.

If ABS became the norm would there need to be a human challenge review?

The NBA is in dire need of something.

I see Ohtani's numbers, 4 ERs in 7 starts, only 3 wins and 2 losses?! In games he gave up no earned runs, the Dodgers are 2-2.

That seems to be a rather big red flag to me.
