Gloria Steinem,
“The future depends entirely on what each of us does every day; a 'movement' is only people moving.”
I like that one better than "A woman needs a man, like a fish needs a bicycle."
Coined by Irina Dunn: Australian activist and writer not Gloria Steinem
I stand corrected. GS popularized it in the US by quoting it in speeches, putting it on T-shirts, buttons, etc.

Eva Marie Saint - star of such classics as On the Waterfront, North by Northwest, Exodus, A Hatful of Rain, and The Russians are Coming. She also played Tom Hanks’ mom in Nothing in Common.

She lived to 102. Stayed married to the spouse for 65 years. Wonderful actor.

Apollo has died.

Actor Michael Forest, best known for his appearances in the “Star Trek” franchise, has died. He was 97.

Forest died Wednesday, according to his friend, James A. Brown, who announced his death Friday in a post on Facebook.

Among his more than 200 credits, Forest was best known for playing the Greek god Apollo in the original “Star Trek” series episode “Who Mourns for Adonais?,” which aired in 1967.

One of my favorite episodes of ST:TOS, but I understand many fans didn't care for this one.

That was one of the best from TOS. Interesting idea too, about the ancient gods as technologically advanced beings.

If you crave ancient gods as technologically advanced being you need to watch Stargate SG1.

But maybe it's time for me to rewatch TOS. I watched TOS in first run and have watched it maybe 100 times since but it's been maybe 10 years since I watched start to finish.

I believe the whole ancient aliens thing, Von Daniken, Georgio Tsoukalos, et al, is a load of codswallop. But it can make for some entertaining fiction, and can be interesting to think about.
