You still don't get it. You are a democracy. The primary job of the leadership of a democracy to appear to be accomplishing things. This is far more important than actually accomplishing things.

Most Indians do not doubt Modi's accomplishments. I feel safe in times of tariffs and Hormuz with Modi at the helm. Whether it is floods, oil or Pakistan, he will take care. BTW, we have more LPG than needed, all because we purchased more during the crisis. Perhaps we will need it in near future. Israel is considering producing Iron Dome missiles in India.

That may be your view, but Albanese has always been nice to India. Leaders change in democracies,
Modi tenure ends in May 2029. Can he handover the reins to someone else and become President of India in July 2027?
There are rumors, and Modi has the requisite numbers in Parliament and State legislatures to get that done.
That way, he can try the new comer in that position for some time.

One more thing to add about Hydrogen train, the cost.
Indian Railways sanctioned Rs 136 crore for a pilot project to retrofit a Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) rake for the 89-km Jind-Sonipat section in Haryana. That is 14.1 million USD. Other countries spent much larger amounts - hundreds of billions of USD equivalent.

Moss Landing battery storage fire flares up again, raising new safety fears in California

The burned remains of the Moss Landing Power Plant battery energy storage facility caught fire again Friday morning, prompting Monterey County officials to issue a shelter in place order — less than two years after it became one of the largest battery storage facility fires in history.

Workers for Vistra, the plant’s Texas-based operator, noticed a flare-up early Friday morning against the wall of a building that burned in the initial January 2025 fire. The cause: roughly 1,200 inaccessible battery modules, still charged, spontaneously ignited, said Chief Jess Cortez with the North County Fire Protection District.

“They’re in the smoldering stage right now,” Cortez said at a briefing Friday afternoon, adding that at that point there was no active fire. “The incident is very dynamic. There could be possible flare-ups.”

Local authorities lifted the order to shelter in place later Friday afternoon. Still, the flare-up reignites fears about battery storage facilities — even as California comes to increasingly rely on them. The state now has “the nation’s largest battery energy storage fleet,” the California Energy Commission announced in August.

Battery storage is transforming how California uses clean energy. By storing electricity produced by solar during the day and delivering it later when demand remains high, batteries make it possible for clean energy to serve a larger share of California's electricity needs and accelerate the state's transition to a 100% clean energy future.

Before batteries were deployed at scale, natural gas plants were relied upon to rapidly ramp up in the late afternoon and evening as demand peaked and solar production declined. Today, batteries increasingly absorb a portion of that ramp, displacing costly natural gas generation during one of the grid’s most critical periods of the day.

The results are visible across California's grid. For the first time, Californians used more solar than natural gas during the first half of 2026.

No mention of nuclear energy anywhere in CA's green energy plan.
